APR is pleased to present the ultimate engine control unit (ECU) upgrade for the 3.2L VR6. APR's ECU upgrade is available in octane-specific variations and is conveniently flashed to the vehicle's factory ECU through the OBD-II port without any physical modification to the factory ECU. APR's EMCS functionality puts the control of the engine's operation at your fingertips and allows for additional features and options to be installed to the OEM ECU.

The ECU's Bosch Motronic engine management system is responsible for proper operation of the engine during constantly changing environmental and load conditions. With built in compensational data for environmental variables and varying load conditions, the factory ECU is far more complex and intelligent than units found in other vehicle makes and marques.

• December 1, 2020 - Bosch released CDR Tool Software Version 19.6.Refer to the CDR Software Help File for supported vehicles. IMPORTANT: Installing a CDR version of 3.6 or later over an existing version of CDR software will cause the CDR program to operate as a CDR file reader only, unless the software can be activated using an Activation Certificate.

• An iPhone 4 will connect when running 4.01 software, all tags will show on the screen. I'm currently trying to find out if there will be a software update from Bosche for the new 4.1 software. Sound quality is massively better and the 4.01 software will also play movies on the touch screen.

Check the firmware version once you get it and post it. I'll check the version in ours (2014 ED) later this week. I know we have the most up to date one because I asked the service folks to update it for the spring service. The dealer should be able to run the update for you regardless.
